Federal Reporting – Annual Federal ESSER Reporting – Training
December 7, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (CST)
The USED has released reporting requirements for states that have received ESSER funds. To complete this report, NDDPI must gather information from all public school districts that have received ESSER I, II, or III funds. The reporting window for this data collection is October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021. Entities that are not public school districts that have been awarded more than $30,000 will be notified shortly by NDDPI and will need to complete a similar but shorter report.
The NDDPI is developing a user-friendly data collection tool to facilitate gathering this data in an efficient and expedited manner. The report will be completed on a survey platform. It will require school districts to answer a combination of questions that include checkboxes, drop-down menus, numerical data entry tables, and 4-5 short narrative responses. The time to complete this report will vary significantly for each school district depending on many variables, including the number of schools, subgroups, and amount of ESSER monies spent thus far. The NDDPI acknowledges that completing another report, especially this time of year, is not convenient. However, circumstances beyond our control require a quick turnaround to meet this reporting requirement. The NDDPI has received several requests for clarification. Therefore, we have answered some of the common questions, which can be accessed here.
The report form will be available to school districts on December 7 and needs to be completed by January 11. Anne Butterworth, ESSER Manager, will hold a training session on December 7, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. CST. Click below to join the meeting.
If you cannot join us at this training, the recording will be posted following the training at COVID-19 Funding | North Dakota Department of Public Instruction.
