NDSBMCP Credit Opportunities Reminders

Here are various credit opportunities that have been sent out over this past year for current or graduate students.  Please note the completion deadlines for these.  Let me know if you have questions.

NDSBA

  • NDSBMCP students can receive 1/2 credit for viewing and completing the writing assignment for the NDSBA Elections webinar held on Tuesday, April 14.  The recording can be accessed at https://cloud.swivl.com/v/06b96562815f7bb00729f30e46220097.  To receive credit, please submit a paragraph to me at rebecca.duben@ndsba.org on what you learned from this webinar. You have until August 31, 2020 to complete.
  • NDSBMCP students can receive 1/2 credit for viewing and completing the writing assignment for the NDSBA Policy Adoption Process webinar held on Thursday, May 14.  The recording can be accessed athttps://cloud.swivl.com/v/1f4981bebe7fda02676f0a600ca2d0c9.  To receive credit, please submit a paragraph to me at duben@ndsba.org on what you learned from this webinar. You have until December 31, 2020 to complete.
  • NDSBMCP students can receive 1 credit for viewing and completing the writing assignment for the 3rdAnnual School Board Member Informational Training meeting. The recordings can be accessed at http://ndsba.org/index.php/ndsba-events/nddpindsba-board-member-workshop/.  To receive credit, submit a summary to me at duben@ndsba.org on what you learned from the training. You have until December 31, 2020 to complete.
  • NDSBMCP students can receive credit each for attending the NDSBA Lunch and Learn webinars.  Each webinar is worth ½ credit.  Registration is required.  Recordings and information about future webinars can be found at http://ndsba.org/index.php/resources/lunchlearn/.  Complete the Affiliate/Continuing Education Credit Form and submit to me at rebecca.duben@ndsba.org to receive credit.  Include the credit name, date of credit, credit available, your signature and the date you signed.  I will verify for the event staff section on the form.  There is no deadline for these webinars. *NEW*
  • NDSBMCP students can receive 1/2 credit for viewing the NDSBA New Member Seminar and up to 1 credit for viewing all five School Law Seminar sessions.  You can either attend in person on the registered day or watch the recording that will be sent to attendees after the training.  Registration is required.  Complete the Affiliate/Continuing Education Credit Form and submit to me at rebecca.duben@ndsba.org to receive credit.  Include the credit name, date of credit, credit available, your signature and the date you signed.  I will verify for the event staff section on the form. I will give you until December 31, 2020 to submit the affiliate credit form to me. *NEW*

NDSBMCP Courses

  • Students may retake any of the NDSBMCP courses for credit. Students must have completed and received a passing grade in the course to retake.  Students retaking a class for continuing education credit will receive a discounted rate and can earn up to 2 credits per class. To receive credit, students will need to submit a paragraph to me at rebecca.duben@ndsba.org on what they learned from retaking the class. Students will be given six months to view the class recording(s) and complete the writing assignment. Students retaking the course do not need to complete the class assignments.  Contact rebecca.duben@ndsba.org for more information.

DPI

  • NDSBMCP students can receive ½ credit for viewing and completing the writing assignment for the DPI Consolidated Application tutorials.  You can access the recordings by going to https://www.nd.gov/dpi/districtsschools/grants/consolidated-application.  Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Webinar.  To receive credit, please submit a paragraph to me at rebecca.duben@ndsba.org on what you learned from these tutorials. You have until December 31, 2020 to complete.
  • NDSBMCP students can receive credit for viewing and completing the writing assignment for the DPI ESSER Funding trainings held on April 14 and 30.  Each training is worth ½ credit.  Recordings can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=us8nz-UyP1I&feature=youtu.be and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1sp9zBkklKs&feature=youtu.be.  To receive credit please submit a paragraph to me at rebecca.duben@ndsba.org for each webinar on what you learned. You have until August 31, 2020 to complete.
  • NDSBMCP students can receive ½ credit for viewing and completing the writing assignment for the DPI ESSER Quarterly Reporting training held on August 3, 2020.  You may also view the recording at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Qk4H4KQWXg&feature=youtu.be if you were unable to attend.  To receive credit please submit a paragraph to me at rebecca.duben@ndsba.org for each webinar on what you learned. You have until December 31, 2020 to complete.
  • Students that attended and complete the writing assignments for the DPI Child Nutrition webinars on March 19, April 1 and April 15 can receive ½ affiliate/continuing education credit for each webinar. These webinars were not recorded so students must have attended the webinars that day to be eligible for credit. To receive credit, please submit a paragraph to me at rebecca.duben@ndsba.org for the combined webinars on what you learned. You have until August 31, 2020 to complete.
  • NDSBMCP students can receive ½ credit for attending and completing the writing assignment for the DPI Child Nutrition Direct Certification training on August 13th or August 31st.  To receive credit, submit a brief paragraph to me at rebecca.duben@ndsba.org on what you learned from the training. You have until December 31, 2020 to complete.
  • NDSBMCP students can receive up to 1 ½ credits for attending the virtual DPI Child Nutrition Back to School training on July 28-30.  Recordings for these sessions can be found at https://myemail.constantcontact.com/August-Newsletter.html?soid=1131734187289&aid=To6GdwPO-dE.  To receive credit, submit the Certificate of Completion to me OR a summary to me on what you learned from each training. Remember to include the names of all trainings attended in the summary.  You have until September 30, 2020 to complete.
  • NDSBMCP students can receive ½ credit for attending and completing the writing assignment for the May 11, DPI Pandemic-EBT webinar. The webinar was not recorded so students must have attended the webinar that day to be eligible for credit.  To receive credit, submit a brief paragraph to me at rebecca.duben@ndsba.org on what you learned from the training. You have until August 31, 2020 to complete.
  • NDSBMCP students can receive 1 credit for viewing and completing the writing assignment for the 3rd Annual School Board Member Informational Training meeting. ND Association of Counties Families First Coronavirus Response Act 

  • NDSBMCP students can receive ½ credit for viewing and completing the writing assignment for the ND Association of Counties Families First Coronavirus Response Act webinar held on Friday, April 17.  You may also view the recording at http://www.hrndgov.org/latest-news/ffcra-webinar-recording/ if you were unable to attend.  To receive credit please submit a paragraph to me at rebecca.duben@ndsba.org on what you learned from this webinar.  You have until December 31, 2020 to complete.

NDCEL Training

  • NDSBMCP students can receive ½ credit for viewing and completing the writing assignment for the NDCEL Ending Funding Balance Zoom meeting on Monday, June 8th at 8 a.m. The meeting was not recorded so students must have attended the meeting that day to be eligible for credit.  To receive ½ affiliate or continuing education credit, submit a paragraph to me at rebecca.duben@ndsba.org on what you learned from the meeting guidance. You have until August 31, 2020 to complete.
  • NDSBMCP students can receive ½ credit for viewing and completing the writing assignment for the NDCEL Staffing and COVID related issues webinar at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/b1yyuq413yi6q0y/AABzVSsk7ynbdYtx2M-PMQRxa?dl=0. To receive credit please submit a paragraph to me at rebecca.duben@ndsba.org on what you learned from this webinar.  You have until December 31, 2020 to complete.

ND Procurement Training

Teachers’ Fund for Retirement

  • NDSBMCP students can receive ½ credit for participating in a Teachers’ Fund for Retirement Workshop. Contact TFFR for more information. The cost for these workshops is free.  Complete the affiliate credit form and submit it to me at rebecca.duben@ndsba.org. Affiliate credit forms should not be signed by instructors/event staff until the end of each conference/workshop.  There is no deadline for this workshop.
  • NDSBMCP students can receive ½ credit for completing the Teachers’ Fund for Retirement quiz. This online quiz should be taken after watching the Teachers’ Fund for Retirement (TFFR) video and reviewing NDCC 15-39.1. You will need to be logged in to the NDSBMCP website to take the quiz. Additional resources can also be found on the TFFR website. Your score will be recorded online.  You may take this quiz again and receive credit if it has been more than a year since you took it last.  No affiliate credit form is required. There is no deadline to complete this quiz.

Criminal History Record Check/Audit Training

  • NDSBMCP students can receive ½ credit for participating in a Criminal History Record Check/Audit Training. Contact the BCI office at 701.328.5126. There is no cost for these workshops.  Complete the affiliate credit form and submit it to me at rebecca.duben@ndsba.org. Affiliate credit forms should not be signed by instructors/event staff until the end of each training.  There is no deadline for this training.
